Welcome to PKPD Tools!

It is hard to believe that it is more than thirty years since we first released our PKPD Tools for Excel at at Prof. Steven Shafer’s International Pharmacokinetic Modeling Workshop in Palo Alto (December 1994)!

Since that time we have continued to use the PKPD Tools for Excel. The code base has been stable since about 2012! We have also developed two OpenGL simulators for teaching PKPD concepts (a compartmental model, and a response surface model), although these are not presently available for download. We no longer develop the FentaSim or PropoSim app for the iPhone, but are investigating alternative solutions. We are also at work on PKPD Tools for R.

Website updates are rare, once a decade. That pkpdtools.com is still online is a testament to the reliability of WordPress. Life, family and other hobbies keep us busy!

Update: July 2025 – we are in the process of making some spreadsheet examples for an upcoming workshop in Sydney.
